Glass stovetops can be a challenge to clean, when food and grease burns onto the glass is very difficult to remove. As a cleaning professional I use this method because is fast and results are amazing
1- Scrub with a polishing paste
2- Scrape burnt residue
3- Wipe and dry with microfiber cloths
Here is the step by step with pictures:
1- Scrub with a polishing paste like Soft Scrub or any polishing paste made for glass stove tops, mix one tablespoon of paste with one tablespoon of water and scrub using a non-scratching scouring pad
2- Wipe the paste completely off the stove top using a damp microfiber cloth, fold it in four and use all sides, rinse and repeat to remove all residue
3- Find residue of burnt food while surface is still wet and use a scraper blade to remove it
4- Scrape off residue using your blade, the surface must be wet, otherwise the glass can be scratched! Be very gentle, at this point the residue must be very soft and easy to remove
4- Dry with microfiber cloth to reveal a stove top clean and shiny, looking as good as new!
Enjoy the fantastic results! here are some tips to keep it looking like this
- For every day cleaning just use dish soap and a non-scratching scouring pad, always wipe and dry completely to avoid stains and streaks. Remember to wait until the surface is completely cold after cooking
- Use this method at least once a week weather you have burnt residue or not, this will polish your glass and will keep it looking like new
- Use microfiber cloths to clean everything, they are very absorbent and leave no lint behind, makes cleaning much easier
